Fracture & Trauma Care

Rapid evaluation and anatomical fixation for acute fractures and joint trauma, using modern fixation techniques.

Orthopaedic trauma covers a wide range of injuries — from simple long-bone fractures to complex intra-articular fractures. Modern fixation techniques aim to achieve anatomical bone alignment, stable fixation and early functional recovery where possible.

Common trauma we assess and treat

Fixation approach

Fixation methods include locking plates, intramedullary nails, screws and external fixators, chosen based on fracture pattern, bone quality, soft-tissue condition and functional requirements. Early controlled mobilisation is typically prioritised where the fixation permits.

Whether surgical treatment is appropriate for a specific patient is decided together with the surgeon after clinical examination, imaging review and discussion of options. Not every condition requires surgery.
